Summary

Ames Research Center (ARC) is looking for an Aeronautics Mission Directorate's (ARMD) liaison to ensure related priorities for technology needs are incorporated into planning and decision making across the program. They will share their knowledge, connecting the Program with stakeholders, to help increase effectiveness of activities. In order to successfully coordinate ARMD liaison activities, this role is required to execute in at least 1 of 4 the business units as listed in the job duties.

Duties

Help
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders within the Aeronautics Mission Directorate.
  • Connecting Aeronautics Mission Directorate stakeholders with the program during solicitation, evaluation, and execution process, including providing insight into cultures and helping facilitate interactions and engagement.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of research and development, and technology transition opportunities and connections with relevant stakeholders within the Aeronautics Mission Directorate.
  • Serve as Business Intelligence Support leveraging data collection, policy analysis, and management expertise to execute on activities to provide the program with easily accessible data and information.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the Aeronautics Mission Directorate Leadership, and assist in facilitating relevant ranking and prioritization activities throughout each solicitation, evaluation, and execution process.
  • Serve as Acquisition Management Support leveraging policy management/technical expertise to execute activities related to the design, implementation, selection, and monitoring of all acquisitions in alignment with their assigned process focus area.
  • Serve as Customer Management Support to execute activities related to ensuring potential and existing participants receive clear, informative, and comprehensive communications and have consistent experiences and interactions.
  • Serve as Systems Management Support to execute on activities to develop, manage, improve, and maintain technology systems. Responsible for ensuring the stability, security, efficiency, and usability of all IT tools and infrastructure.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular ability, skill, and knowledge to successfully perform the duties of this position and is typically in or related to this line of work.

To qualify for GS-14, you must have one year of directly related specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level:

  • Overseeing or supporting implementation plans, processes, and objectives to ensure program or project execution readiness;
  • Analyzing and implementing program policy to ensure efficiency and compliance;
  • Evaluating and making recommendations to the improvement in performance and efficiency of program operations.
