Duties

Help
  • Assists the Fitness Facility Manager in the overall management and operation of a fitness facility.
  • Assists with the scheduling and outreach of organizational units at the facility.
  • Conducts classes and walks all facility rooms to provide guidance as appropriate.
  • Assists in the assessment of facility requirements and helps develop plans and specifications for projects to augment or replace fitness and sports facilities.
  • Oversees the inventory of property; fitness equipment condition; tracks maintenance and repair or replacement as appropriate

  • This position requires a favorably adjudicated T1/NACI background investigation.
  • Management reserves the right to reassign employees to other facilities.
  • Work schedule will be irregular. The incumbent will be required to work, nights, weekends, holidays and/or special events.
  • Must complete the following courses or classes after the start of employment: MWR Orientation Course; Customer Service; Equipment (Safe Operation and Basic Maintenance Repair).

Qualifications

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

  • experience carrying out a sports program that included:
    • a variety of individual and team sports, and
    • guiding participants in developing the skills needed for participation in sports activities, and
    • teaching the techniques of various sports.
  • possess the following certifications:
    • CPR, and
    • First Aid, and
    • AED
  • Valid certifications MUST be uploaded at the time of application

  • Night differential and Sunday Premium Pay have NOT been authorized by the Garrison Commander for Non-Bargaining NF positions and will not be paid to any Non-Bargaining NF employees.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives will NOT be paid.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will NOT be paid.
    • Payband employees in pay levels NF-3 and above, are entitled to receive nonforeign area allowances and differentials in the same amounts and under the same eligibility criteria prescribed for APF employees in the same locality.
