Duties

Help
  • You will prepare contract work statement for all work which falls within one or more of the work classification of maintenance, repair, alteration, construction or installation of equipment within real property onboard the Command.
  • You will develop cost estimates, review contractor's estimates and change order scopes including labor, material, equipment, and performance time using technical and/or Federal manuals, unit cost estimating guides and industry pricing standards.
  • You will prepare, submit and track customer requests for work to be accomplished through the Navy Public Works Center.
  • You will prepare a wide variety of technical and administrative correspondence relating to management of Real Property.
  • You will make recommendations to the Supervisory General Engineer and Public Works Officer in response to inquiries.
  • You will manage the design of your assigned projects, including the construction phase, and represent the Command.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector that demonstrates application of engineering principles and techniques in preparing contract work statements; reviewing cost estimates; monitoring requests for work; and reviewing recommendations on maintenance and repair of facilities and systems.
