Duties

Help
  • Perform assignments by keeping the organization’s supervisors informed on local and command administrative policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Review the applicability of internal and external administrative guidelines, policies, procedures and regulatory requirement to individual or overall directorate activities.
  • Analyze established administrative methods and procedures throughout the organization, often involving consideration of the flow of work among two or more organization segments and externally to other organizations.
  • Collaborate with specialists to find solutions to management problems arising out of mission changes, workload projections, fiscal constraints that impact positions, employees, and organizational administrative processes.
  • Serve as an expert analyst in one or more administrative/ business fields.
  • Serve as Training Coordinator, reviews and evaluates command level training reports.

**ADMINISTRATIVE CAREERS WITH AMERICA (ACWA) ASSESSMENT: This series is covered under the Administrative Careers With America (ACWA) examining program. The position is being recruited at the DE-02 grade level. You must meet the qualification requirements for the position and are required to take and pass the ACWA assessment.**


In order to qualify, you must meet the education and/or experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. DE-02:General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the GS-04 grade level, which includes: 1) experience analyzing problems to identify significant factors, gather pertinent data, and recognize solutions; 2) experience planning and organizing work; AND 3) experience communicating effectively orally and in writing. This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (DE-01/GS-04).

Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. (NOTE: Must provide copy of transcript. Failure to provide copy of transcript will result in an ineligible rating).

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.
