This position is located in the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, Financial Management Division. The mission of the Pentagon Force Protection Agency (PFPA) is to provide force protection, security, and law enforcement to safeguard personnel, facilities, infrastructure, and other resources for the Pentagon Reservation and designated Department of Defense (DoD) facilities (hereinafter referred to as "the Pentagon Facilities") within the National Capital Region (NCR).

Incumbents typical work assignments may include the following:
Provides decision support and analysis to support the budget.
Analyzes financial and budgetary relationships to develop recommendations for financial and/or budgetary actions under uncertainly due to short rapidly changing program financial/budgetary deadlines and objectives.
Reviews, interprets, and provides advice on the use of funds for program and administrative purposes (to include Purpose, Time, and Amount).
Analyzes trends in fund utilization and prepares periodic command cost and performance reports to compare actual with forecasts.
Performs research using DoD or Service financial databases for the purpose of clearing the Dormant Account Quarterly Review (DAR-Q).
This is a National Security Position has been designated as Secret, Non Critical-Sensitive. Incumbent is required to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.

Qualifications
In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Specialized Experience:
To qualify at the GS-13, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, specialized experience is defined as: providing decision support and analysis for budget decisions, participating in special studies, projects, and reviewing, interpreting and analyzing new and/or revised regulations, and inputting and extracting data from financial management systems.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
