Duties

Help
  • Participates in design review conferences with responsibility for the surveillance of assigned construction projects involving military and civil construction activities.
  • Involved in the construction of various contracts at located at a base for a variety of structures and facilities.
  • Assists in design review conferences, reviews preliminary plans and specifications prior to advertisement for practicability, anticipated physical obstructions and other construction difficulties.
  • Attends and participates in pre bid conferences to orient and inform bidders as to features, requirements, and special conditions.
  • Reviews final plans and specifications for construction feasibility and practical accomplishment, and interprets technical portions for other participants.
  • Reviews specification packages, design drawings, and independent government cost estimates for bid ability and constructability.
  • Responsible for the strict enforcement of safe practices and safety regulations.
  • Confers with Contracting Officer Representative on matters pertaining to the control, placement, consistency and suitability of materials and equipment.
  • Reviews and analyzes plans and specifications, drawings, designs, site conditions, and proposed construction schedules to determine and recommend action necessary to correct deficiencies through modification of the contract
  • Participates in validating construction Schedule of Values requirements have been met in accordance with the contract and statement of work.
  • Reviews construction Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) and other deliverables for accuracy and completeness in accordance with the Schedule of Values and Statement of Work.
  • Attends and provides direction during scheduled construction IPTs and other meetings in accordance with COR guidance.

The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as an Industrial Property Managager Specialist located at the Lake City Army Ammunition Plant, which is a subordinate installation of JMC.

In order to qualify, you must meet the requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Reviewing plans and/or specifications during planning and design stages; 2) identifying changes such as site conditions, quantity estimates that may require a contract modification; 3) exercising surveillance over contract construction program; 4) familiarity working with construction projects aligned against a Schedule of Values; and 5) assist with validating Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy in accordance with the awarded contract and statement of work. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
