Duties

Help
  • Initiates, develops, and implements procedures to monitor the internal capabilities of the Defense Health Network.
  • Implements changes to policies and/or programs based upon evaluation to improve quality, effectiveness, and efficiency.
  • Analyzes administrative and clinical delivery systems to develop strategic focus for management team decisions.
  • Coordinates with data analysts for available data sources to analyze and evaluate health care delivery programs and trends and make appropriate recommendations.
  • Provides technical and administrative oversight for clinical administrators and Service Line Business Directors.

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) evaluating medical service delivery to identify improvements; 2) interpreting policies and/or procedures to develop protocols across medical facilities; and (3) advising senior leaders regarding healthcare facility operations and/or optimization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
