The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Operations Command (SpOC) at the Naval Support Facility Dahlgren is searching for a Space Operations Intelligence Analyst (NH-0132-03).
Description:
The 19th Space Defense Squadron is a new unit in the United States Space Force leading the way for innovation and federation in space to maintain freedom of action for the U.S., allied, and commercial partners. We are seeking professionals who will push the bounds of space domain awareness for the foundation of space defense.
The ideal candidate should have experience in intelligence-related research, analysis, collection, and/or operations. This includes intelligence analysis and production, intelligence collection and operations, counterintelligence, or threat support relevant to the position. The experience should demonstrate knowledge of intelligence processes, organizations, and the ability to use research tools such as library holdings, photographs, statistics, graphics, and maps. Additionally, candidates should be familiar with analyzing, compiling, reporting, and disseminating intelligence data, as well as collecting and analyzing intelligence data. They should be able to prepare and deliver presentations and briefings for planning and implementation to support current and future operations. They should be able to provide status and advisory services to superiors on problems, issues, and projects in assigned program areas, and report significant findings and recommendations to management in a timely manner.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of the terminologies, methodologies, and research and analytical techniques as applies to highly complex assignments related to the SDA and SBM mission set.
2. Ability to show a capacity for creative thinking and original research, and have the confidence to function as a spokesperson for and an authority on activity positions in the intelligence community.
3. Knowledge of several intelligence collection methods and systems, their capabilities and limitations, and appropriate tasking methods.
4. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing, as well as work in a professional manner with peers, management, contractors, academia, and other agencies.
5. Ability to use computer applications in support of planning, designing, analysis, and reporting.
This position is on-site and not eligible for remote or telework.
Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret w/SCI clearance.
May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
This is a drug testing designated position.
Incumbents on this position may need to be removed from their military recall status if alternatives for filling the position during an emergency are
not available.
PCS funding is not available.
