Review plans and Specs for upcoming projects and provides comments.
Contract Administration involving Study contracts, plans, specifications, special directives, and other criteria and changes thereto pertaining to construction; interprets, and instructions, and renders decisions thereon to field personnel.
Review technical data and reports for input in Resident Management System (RMS) and prepares pay estimates for Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) approval.
Manages the quality assurance program.
Responsible for inspecting work to ensure contractors are adhering to The Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Safety Regulations.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
The position requires a valid drivers license.
This position requires pre-employment financial disclosure statement OGE form 450 and annually thereafter in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting engineers in contract administration by reviewing for accuracy and/or consistency of contracts, drawings, and specifications and advise on modifications needed; create reports to assist engineers in contract maintenance; utilizing automated software programs to provide technical support to engineers; coordinate with engineers to maintain construction schedule; provide welding training as necessary. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
