Perform operational tests on circuits, systems, networks, and equipment to ensure high quality and maximum efficiency and verifies the quality of the communication circuits, systems, networks, and equipment by using appropriate methods.
Responsible for conducting scheduled tests on all the backup equipment and reviewing the results with all concerned parties.
Maintain quality and continuity of communications by taking appropriate action to prevent or correct conditions adversely affecting communications circuits, systems, or networks within the NMCC-R.
Analyze, isolate, and identify problems in various types of complex interactive communication systems such as digital data, computer to terminal, analog, and audiovisual systems.
Record all time lost on inoperative circuits, systems, networks, and other pertinent information for use in analysis of outages.
Responsible for strict adherence to all proper security regulations, policies, and procedures to avoid a compromise of the various secure systems and their data.
Ensure that the team is kept abreast of all operational requirements.
Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
Three year trial/probationary period may be required.
This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access for the duration of employment.
This position is designated as Key. The position cannot be vacated during a national emergency or mobilization without seriously impairing the mission.
This position requires irregular hours on rotating shift.
