Duties

Help

Set up bars for operation, obtains cash bank and stocks service bar.
Assures an adequate stock level is maintained.
Prepares a limited variety of simple alcoholic beverages as requested by patrons and wait staff.
Identifies persons who become unruly or who appear intoxicated, resolves the problem or seeks assistance in accordance with established procedures.
Performs other duties as assigned.

A one year probationary period may be required.
Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.
Satisfactorily complete a minimum of 4 hours initial food sanitation and safety training withing the first 30 days of employment and a minimum of 4 hours refresher training annually.
Availability and willingness to work a rotating shift which may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Satisfactorily complete all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3 to include a medical examination.
Required to complete a Tier 1 background investigation for a Common Access Card for physical access to federal controlled facilities.
Physical Effort: Regularly lifts and carries items up to 40lbs.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

1. Meet state/local age requirements for the serving of alcoholic at the time of appointment.
2. Be able to lift and carry weights up to 40 pounds.
3. Possess math skills necessary to calculate patron bills and take inventory.
4. Skill in mixing and serving alcoholic and nonalcoholic beverages.

PCS Costs

FWS Allowances and Differentials

This is a federal wage schedule (FWS) position.
All FWS employees are entitled to overtime work for work in excess of 8 hours in a day or in excess of 40 hours in the administrative workweek, whichever provides the greater benefit to the employee.
Regular full-time, regular part-time (to include those in a limited tenure appointment category) and regularly scheduled flexible employees are entitled to Sunday premium pay when working Sunday shifts. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 7.5% for the entire shift when a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 1500 and 2400. A FWS employee will be paid a night shift differential of 10% of the scheduled rate if a majority of the employee's regularly scheduled non-overtime hours of work occur between the hours of 2300-0800.

Incentives and Bonuses

Incentives will not be paid.

Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances

Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
