Duties

Help
  • You will serve as the expert advisor to the FLCN for environmental compliance over a wide variety of operations or activities.
  • You will analyze materials, structures, environmental and safety codes, legal requirements, and operations to advise on environmental and safety requirements, including economic impact of alternative solutions and conducting inspections or reviews.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring the compliance of FLCN fuel's mission with federal, DOD, DON and Washington State instructions and regulations related to environmental protection.
  • You will be responsible for planning, developing and administering the Environmental Protection programs involved with all FLCN Fuel Operations.
  • You will plan, direct, and conduct environmental compliance training activities for Military, Civil Service Personnel, and contractors stationed at Manchester Fuel Depot.
  • You will be responsible for identifying projects required to correct environmental deficiencies, improve existing conditions or comply with new/revised regulations.
  • You will provide cradle to grave management of environmental projects to include budget submissions, fund management, scope of work and cost estimate development, technical evaluations of contractor proposals and execution and project closeout.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the next lower (GS-11) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing knowledge of environmental program principles, policies and procedures as it relates to Petroleum, Oil, and Lubricating (POL) engineering principals, Spill Response Programs. Examples of specialized experience include the following; 1) Managing a fuel departments goals, objectives, and operating plans required to maintain Environmental Protection compliance; 2) Evaluating the effectiveness of environmental programs relating to department operations and determine compliance with environmental policy, procedures, and requirements; 3) Coordinates and conducts response drills, training evolutions and tabletop exercises; 4) Providing specialized assessments and technical guidance on environmental compliance and management; 5) Identifying the need for education, training, and promotional material development as it relates to environmental protection.
