Summary

You will serve as a Management Support Specialist (Human Capital Liaison) in the Oceanographic Dept. Unmanned Sensor Operations Center of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS.

Duties

  • You will provide key assistance to USOC managers and supervisors in facilitating the performance of their management responsibilities.
  • You will assist NIAs Civilian Intelligence Personnel Human Resources Office on a variety of substantive, procedural, and policy matters.
  • You will provide a limited range of routine staffing administrative services including coordinating human capital required actions.
  • You will assist with analysis and evaluation of administrative procedures and requirements for organizational efficiency and productivity.
  • You will make recommendations for procedural or guidance improvement in various areas.
  • You will perform as a Lead Defense Travel Administrator (LDTA) for USOC by reviewing Defense Travel System (DTS) submissions for accuracy and completeness.

  • This position may require a two-year DCIPS trial period requirement.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Provide liaison and technical assistance to personnel on human capital required actions, functions and concerns to resolve personnel, pay, and leave related issues and problems; 2. Review travel authorization submissions in a travel system for accuracy and completeness and track travel related expenditures within the established travel budget; 3. Research, gather, analyze, and maintain information within an information management system or database.

completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related.

Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Completion of a Master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Completion of 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
OR
LL.B. or J.D., if related.
