The United States Space Force (USSF) at Los Angeles Space Force Base is searching for a Program Manager for Operations and Sustainment (GS-1101-13).

Description:
The Advanced Communications Acquisition Delta (USSF Space Systems Command) is a rapid acquisition unit currently seeking a strong acquisition professional ready to serve as the Operations and Sustainment Program Manager for an elite government team building and sustaining next-generation communications capabilities on a highly-classified SECDEF-directed MILSATCOM effort. The ideal candidate for this position should be effective at operating and leading a combined military, civilian, and contractor team executing a wide range of operations and sustainment related MILSATCOM projects. The candidate must be willing to travel, sometimes to OCONUS locations, to ensure the fielded system is operational and/or fully functional. In addition, as this role supports current operations, the candidate may be required to respond to and support on-orbit activities and events. This position supports a fast-paced acquisition with hard hitting mission impacts, and the selected candidate must be a motivated problem solver and self-starter.

Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate has background in satellite operations, ground system and equipment sustainment and fielding, and working all aspects of contract management from Request For Proposal release to technical evaluation, contract award, execution, and performance monitoring. Candidate should possess an engineering or management degree and have experience operating in and leading teams in space acquisition programs.
