The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Senior Program Officer for the Medical Advanced Development Office providing comprehensive support and execution of the Air Force Surgeon General's Medical Research Development Test and Evaluation priorities.
Executes programs for modernizing medical capabilities to address the challenges of operational and peacetime health care and for the joint warfighter through state-of-the-art technological solutions in support of Air Force and Space Force Operations.
Assigns work to team members, establishes and adjusts priorities, leads or delegates IPT responsibilities for AF and Joint projects.
Provides technical leadership in planning, analyzing, and evaluating developmental efforts to address medically related user requirements.
Provides oversight of the Advanced Development Office Portfolio by performing analysis of program cost, schedule, performance, risks.
Adapts developmental efforts to maximize commercial viability and assists in the fielding medical capabilities by addressing logistical considerations as well as acquisition and regulatory processes.
Telework options can be negotiated and implemented after entrance on duty

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DO-2 (GS-12/13) broadband. Examples of specialized experience may include providing technical leadership in planning, analyzing, and evaluating program requirements, manages teams by establishing and adjusting priorities, adapting developmental efforts by addressing logistical concerns to meet acquisition and regulatory processes.
