Summary

This position is located within USDA, Rural Development (RD), Servicing & Asset Management Office, Customer Loan Servicing Directorate, Program Assistance Division, Customer Advocacy Branch.

The incumbent is responsible for developmental and other routine assignments in support of the organization's cost-effective loan servicing and asset management program. Providing exceptional customer service, loan accounting, financial, and management information for Federal Credit Agencies.

Help
  • Monitors, controls ,and analyzes a variety of financial transactions and reports on an assigned portion of RD-serviced loan portfolio. Analyzes large amounts of information, identifies problems, and provides solutions based on considerable research.
  • Serves as a technical advisor and aids with the most difficult or complex assignments for lower-graded employees. Assists with training and difficult requests and correspondence.
  • Documents, monitors, maintains internal control structure to ensure work products are produced timely and accurately. Performs quality control reviews for lower-graded staff to ensure that it meets program regulations and policies.
  • Consults with users and considers existing problems and constraints and recommends courses of action. Gathers information from users and coordinates with others as needed. Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Applicants must meet all qualifications and eligibility requirements by the closing date of the announcement including specialized experience and/or education, as defined below.

For the GS-09: Applicants must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level; or its non-federal equivalent.

Specialized experience is defined as: Coordinating with management, team members and systems staff to research and test then implement changes in process and procedures; experience in program analysis, oversight, inspection and training; performing inspections, audits, and internal reviews on systems and upgrades and create reports based on findings; comprehension on use of government rules, regulations, policies, and instructions; creating and conducting training programs; recognizing and eliminating Fraud, Waste, Abuse; and/or experience which demonstrates experience working with mortgage loan origination and/or mortgage loan servicing; monitoring or analyzing financial transactions on portions of loan portfolios.

OR possess a Master's or equivalent graduate degree,

OR two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree,

OR an equivalent combination of experience and education as noted above are acceptable.

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

Applicants who meet basic minimum qualifications will be placed in one of two or three categories: Best Qualified, Well Qualified, or Qualified.
