Help
  • Manage inventory applying management theories, principles, and techniques.
  • Develop and utilize analytical techniques to assess the supply accountability program.
  • Establish short- and long-term priorities and prepares schedules for completion of work.
  • Determine a method of accomplishing complicated non-routine tasks without specific precedents or guidelines.
  • Ensure the execution of an annual inventory schedule of accounts, reporting problems and discrepancies as required.

Qualifications

About the Position: The Joint Munitions Command provides the Joint Force with ready, reliable, lethal munitions at the speed of war. JMC's mission is to support the production, storage, distribution, and demilitarization of munitions. This position serves as s Chief, Stock Control Branch and Duty Chief, Logistics Support Division for a medium complex, multi-mission facility providing support services to various Department of Defense and other Governmental Agencies located at the Camp Stanley Storage Activity, which is a subordinate installation of JMC.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes:

  • Experience identifying the objectives and plans of two or more specialized supply programs,
  • Experience resolving conflicting supply program requirements issues,
  • Experience developing supply guidance and regulations for a diverse supply program operation, and
  • Experience leading, directing, and assigning work of personnel.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
