Duties

Help
  • Establishes project scope and criteria, schedules and milestones, budgets, dependencies, and responsibilities of the participating parties.
  • Reviews project progress, measuring performance and taking necessary corrective actions to maintain agreed upon schedule and cost.
  • Reviews and approves, within authorities provided, project cost and schedule changes.
  • Manages the Facilities, Equipment and Maintenance (FEM) system.
  • Manages long range (5 year) and short range (1 Year) planning, scheduling, and budget.
  • Maintains up-to-date as-built technical drawings for all Navigation vessels.
  • Manages the Nuclear Testing Program for the dredges.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. GS-13 - One year of specialized experience which includes performing work as a Program Manager responsible for oversight and technical work supporting Civil Works programs and operations, which include: 1) Planning projects for major river systems containing large, multi-purpose projects, such as navigation projects, large flood control projects, and environmental mitigation and restoration projects. 2) Control project schedule milestones, and 3) Budget planning. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Education
