Duties

Help
  • Conducts in-depth analysis of special operations aviation requirements, provides substantive input following review of proposed special operations aviation and ground materiel efforts to the materiel developer involving Research Development Program.
  • Consultant to senior leadership regarding the process and documents needed to for entry of requirement solutions for Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System or Special Operations Forces Capabilities Integration and Development System.
  • Participate in meetings to obtain special operations aviation data and information that impact required document development and offers feedback to meet customer needs and requirements.
  • Review new or changed procedures, policies, regulations, laws, etc. affecting assigned responsibilities for a command.
  • Apply Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership and Education, Personnel, Facilities - Policy (DOTMLPF-P) to validate requirements and compose capabilities development documents.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. In accordance with AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, the incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to the appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 20% of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1.) coordinating, gathering, and incorporating large amounts of different aviation data to identify disparities and propose appropriate solutions on aviation programs; 2.) Planning aviation such as funding projections, travel requirements, personnel, equipment, and work requirements for an aviation organization; and 3.) utilizing capabilities integration and development systems to produce initial, development and production capabilities documents for an aviation organization. 4.) Compose capabilities development documents applying doctrine, organization, training, materiel, leadership, education, personnel, and facilities policy to validate requirements. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
