Duties

Help

As a Director, Enterprise Solutions & Integration at the GS-0301-15 some of your typical work assignments may include:

  • Serves as the Director of the Enterprise Solutions and Integration Special Office, having full responsibility for contributing to the establishment, implementation, and sustainment of DoD Human Resources Information systems.
  • You will be the central figure for all DoD Civilian Personnel Human Resources Information Technology (HRIT) systems. This includes establishing, implementing, and managing programs, priorities, and procedures to ensure a robust and integrated system.
  • As the recognized expert in Defense Civilian Human Resources Information Technology (DCHRMS), you will provide guidance and direction to both internal and external stakeholders and lead the development and implementation of DCHRMS functional requirements and enterprise solutions, ensuring they support a diverse workforce, a high-performing culture, and efficient HR management.
  • As a key representative for DCPAS, you will advocate for the organization's viewpoint in key policy meetings, conferences, and working groups related to HR policy and innovation acting as a bridge between information technology technical experts and end users, ensuring clear communication and successful implementation of HR systems and functionalities.
  • You will champion cross-functional projects that streamline HR processes, manage HRIT requirements and changes, and ensure compliance with established regulations and policies. This also includes overseeing contractor support and providing technical guidance for the DCPAS IT and communication infrastructure. Additionally you will advise senior leaders on HR systems and translate stakeholder needs into actionable HR business requirements., you will develop HRIT policies and provide strategic direction for HR management.

Qualifications

You may qualify at the GS-15, if you fulfill the following qualifications:

A. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal service:

  • Develop, implement, execute, and manage complex cross-functional projects related to new HR (Human Resources) systems ensuring successful adoption that aligns with overall departmental strategy and HR goals;
  • Bridging the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders, senior leaders, and contractor teams using communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across departmental lines;
  • Ensuring all initiatives comply with established guidelines by applying Human Resources Information Technology and its integration with broader HR systems and its policies and regulations.


Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

Substitution of education may not be used in lieu of specialized experience for this grade level.
