Summary
You will serve as a GG-14 interdisciplinary engineer or physicist at the FARRAGUT TECHNICAL ANALYSIS CENTER in Suitland, MD, where you will independently develop engineering concepts, methods, and tools to maintain and advance the underwater geophysics analytical tradecraft necessary to exploit Scientific & Technical Intelligence (S&TI) all source data for integrated intelligence products.
DoD Military Reserve (MR) and National Guard (NG) Technician Preference Eligibles and DoD Retained Grade Preference Eligibles and All U.S. Citizens in the Washington, D.C. Commuting Area.
You will apply extensive knowledge in the area of underwater acoustics to include Geo-location of a wide variety of impact and non-traditional acoustic events.
You will use passive acoustic signal processing and analysis to include intelligence/defense experience related to the evaluation, collection, and dissemination of intelligence products and development of technical assessments.
You will research and analyze Naval design and performance requirements and make recommendations for performance design assessments and the acquisition of tools to improve overall analytical tradecraft.
You will use MATLAB in the analysis of underwater geophysical events.
You will formulate and conduct intricate engineering studies and integrate scientific and engineering analysis with all source intelligence.
You will provide expert review of peer and multi agency assessments and/or products to ensure quality and assurance of compliance with governing policy guidance.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

Qualifications
