Duties

Help
  • Develops, organizes, manages and implements the recruitment program, activities and functions of the Schedule A employees and the Regional Office.
  • Develops a strategic plan for recruitment programs, operations, and goals for the Regional Office.
  • Conducts or participates in group recruiting sessions.
  • Analyzes and monitors progress, performance and cost data of a recruitment program to ensure recruitment operations are within specified time limits and budget constraints.

  • The work schedule for this position is Mixed Tour. With a Mixed Tour work schedule, an employee may be changed between full-time, part-time and intermittent work schedules to accommodate fluctuating workloads and is subject to a signed agreement.

This is a Temporary Appointment; initial appointment is not to exceed (NTE) 1-year. This appointment may be extended an additional year at management's discretion.

Specialized Experience:

For GS-11, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal service.

Experience for this position includes developing a recruitment plan to meet staffing requirements; identifying recruitment sources to generate a diverse pool of applicants; developing recruitment material; developing, preparing and maintaining recruitment program files and reports.

OR

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree; or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.M., if related.

For GS-12, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service

Experience for this position includes developing and implementing a recruitment plan to meet staffing requirements; identifying recruitment sources to generate a diverse pool of applicants; developing recruitment material; developing, preparing, monitoring, and maintaining recruitment program files and reports; and implementing cost-effective procedures.

Education cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level.

Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
