Duties

Help
  • You will respond to visitor and caller inquiries regarding human resources programs and employment entitlements
  • You will maintain and order office supplies utilizing systems such as Defense Medical Logistics Standard Support (DMLSS) automated system
  • You will provide clerical or technical work supporting military personnel programs, operations, or functions.
  • You will establish and maintain files for retrieval and reviews incoming correspondence.
  • You will perform duties relating to personnel processing, personnel manning, transition, separation, retirement support or special actions.
  • You will ensure incoming and departed personnel are accurately entered and processed in manpower databases.
  • You will serve as a back up for the assistant Plan Operations and Medical Intelligence (POMI) coordinator on command readiness.

  • You must obtain and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI). Failure to do so may result in the withdrawal of an offer or removal. Indicate the level and date of your clearance in your resume.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You must acknowledge in writing that you are accepting an appointment in the DCIPS (excepted service) which does not confer competitive status, prior to appointment.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

  • Utilizing knowledge of military policies, procedures, rules, and regulations to maintain military personnel service records;
  • Researching information in military records and databases in order to respond to inquiries regarding military human resources issues;
  • Utilizing automated systems to create and maintain military records.
