Duties

Help

  • Perform Contracting Officer Representative responsibilities (COR) on AEDC contracts.
  • Coordinate and assess material and equipment management activities of the organization, ensuring logistics management operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements, and meets customer needs.
  • Participate in special logistics management operations projects, other functional projects, munitions surety, and performs special assignments.
  • Represent the organization with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
  • Serve as AEDC Unit Deployment Manager (UDM).

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Administrative and Management Positions located here, Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: I have 1 year (52 weeks) of specialized experience at the NH-01/GS-04 grade level or equivalent under other pay systems in the Federal service. Specialized experience includes Assisting with assessing, planning, budgeting, and reporting on material management and procurement activities, freight movement operations, and vehicle maintenance and ground operations project. Implementation and application of the Cargo Movement Operating System Items. Conduct warehouse surveillance to ensure proper asset storage, inventory, and material handling practices. Assist in developing goals and objectives that align with compliant, standardized material and equipment accountability objectives. Research, interpret, analyze, and apply appropriate laws, guidelines, policies, and regulations to ensure compliance of material and equipment accountability activities.

OR EDUCATION: 4 years above high school, if related from an accredited college or university. NOTE: You must submit copies of your official transcripts.

OR COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

FEDERAL TIME-IN-GRADE (TIG) REQUIREMENT FOR GENERAL SCHEDULE (GS) POSITIONS: Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-­grade requirements to be considered eligible. One year at the NH-01 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the NH-02 level. TIG applies if you are in a current GS position or held a GS position within the previous 52 weeks.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

  1. Knowledge of the applicable logistics management principles1 concepts, policies, and laws; logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to the duties of position; sources, responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice to resolve logistics problems; and all aspects of integrated logistics support.
  2. Knowledge of safety, security, applicable regulations, practices, and procedures.
  3. Ability to Identify, analyze, and translate complex information, make appropriate judgments, and evaluate options.
  4. Ability to analyze, plan, and coordinate work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources.
  5. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing.
  6. Skill gathering and analyzing data, delivering briefings, and making recommendations based on complex and diverse data.
  7. Knowledge of basic laptop/small office computer skills and ability to learn new applications/programs used within the logistics career field. Ability to use word processing, spreadsheets, and presentation materials and charts/graphs is essential.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
