Duties

Help

1. Creates, maintains, and presents/instructs rescue Mission Qualification Training (MQT) course academics and Continuation Training in accordance with appropriate DOD, Joint, Department of the Air Force Instructions (DAFIs/AFIs), and other policies and guidance.

2. Serves as functional expert on Master Training Plan (MTP) and Master Training Task List (MTTL) activities and requirements.

3. Updates and records all formal training for 347 RQG analysts IAW AFI and ACC guidance.

4. Serves as primary point of contact for mission qualification and training evaluation checklists.

5. Provides support to ACC, Wing, Group, and Unit Level exercises.

Qualifications

This is a GG-09 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-09 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Entry/Developmental" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-09 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: Extensive knowledge on intelligence tools, programs, and best practices, adversary threat systems, TTPs, and threat systems relevant to Personnel Recovery. Requires knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structures, and operations of the DoD and Intelligence Community. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

EDUCATION:
Master's or equivalent graduate degree; or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree; or LL.B. or J.D., if related.

COMBINATION OF EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the grade levels specified in the table, and may be computed by first determining the applicant's total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the applicant's education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify an applicant for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

1. Knowledge of until level intelligence roles and functions, specifically related to required support to rescue missions and MGFEs.

2. Knowledge of intelligence analysis methods and tools, product types and usage, and research tools and techniques.

3. Ability to communicate, both orally and in writing, and present information to a variety of skill and knowledge levels.

4. Skills in applying different teaching methods to learning types and adapting training to various skill levels.

5. Skilled in using IC tools to include but not limited to: MIST, Marauder, Horizon, Bhodi, Thresher, etc. and knowledge of how/when to use the tools in various intelligence problems.

6. Ability to organize and maintain critical records and documents in accordance with AFI and other policies/guidance.

OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS PERTAINING TO THIS POSITION:

  • Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Testing Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
