In this position, you will apply your expert knowledge of cloud (AWS) service costs and resource estimation to promote the successful collaboration between the AI/ML, GIS and BI product team and the cloud infrastructure support team that supports them, while enhancing ADO-200’s product ownership responsibilities by providing project management guidance.”

This organization oversees a growing suite of business intelligence (BI) and Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning (AI/ML) tools utilized throughout the agency to conduct analytics and deliver data visualizations and reporting.

If you are selected for this position, you will provide your program management expertise to support BI, AI/ML, Data Science, and GIS product managers within ADO-200. You will be responsible for the following:

• Manage a technology budget to ensure adequate resources (i.e., cloud infrastructure) to meet BI, AI/ML and data analytics product needs.

• Forecast cloud infrastructure costs and resource needs based on proposed use-case requirements.

• Serve as project manager or team leader planning, coordinating, and conducting projects and studies. Is responsible for developing, integrating, and implementing solutions to diverse, complex problems.

• Communicate and ensure accurate understanding of AWS cloud resource requirements from AI/ML and BI product team to AWS infrastructure support team.

• Support the development of guidance to document AI/ML processes, Machine Learning Operations (MLOPs), and governance policies

• Create roadmaps and project plans in support of BI, AI/ML and data analytics products and artificial intelligence and machine learning operations.

• Analyze trends, identify problems and those factors most likely to impact operating costs, profitability, and continued compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Conduct and/or facilitate technical briefings, and outreach to user communities.

• Collaborate across organizations and partner with others to prioritize in a shared-resource environment.

• Deliver communications to executive & upper management levels blending technical and non-technical concepts / concerns.

• Apply technical management skills and principles for assigned BI, AI/ML, and data analytics special projects.

To qualify for this position you must demonstrate in your application that you possess at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to FV-I / FG/GS-13. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position.

Specialized experience is: Experience managing a large IT organization’s technology budget, ensuring adequate resources to meet product needs, and analyzing trends which would impact operating costs, profitability, and continued compliance with regulatory requirements.
