BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DUTIES:

  • Develops and implements programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
  • Participates in network and systems design to anticipate, assess, and minimize system vulnerabilities; leads the implementation of the programs to ensure the incorporation of appropriate systems security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices.
  • Facilitates the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence while handling security incidents. Correlates incident data to identify the impact and specific vulnerabilities. Makes recommendations for corrective actions.
  • Manages incident response exercises and incident handling. Creates and maintains incident response standard operating procedures, policies, and directives.
  • Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments, system security evaluations, audits, and reviews of planned and installed information systems.
  • Develops policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
  • Analyzes network alerts from various sources within the enterprise and determines possible causes of such alerts; develops systems security contingency plans and recovery procedures.
  • Maintains, monitors, and makes recommendations on the Security Information and Event program, and the Identity Access Management program.
  • Assists with the yearly penetration testing program. Acts as the key interface between branches and penetration contractors.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: A high school diploma/GED plus seven (7) years of experience in security architecture, systems engineering and data communications. Experience in threat analysis, risk management, configuration management, business continuity and contingency planning is required.
