Duties

Help
  • Serves as Deputy to the Director, Family, Morale, Welfare and Recreation (FMWR) for a large garrison for a large garrison by performing a variety of duties in the planning, coordination, and daily oversight of all matters.
  • Reviews program changes and discusses changes in goals and objectives with activity managers and supervisors, ensuring objectives and goals are attainable and feasible.
  • Evaluates goal achievement and program execution.
  • Keeps the Director fully informed of overall accomplishments, deficiencies, and status of on-going programs and special projects assigned.
  • Responsible for assuming the duties of the director in his/her absence.

  • Meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • Possesses satisfactory completion of pre-employment background checks in accordance with AR 215-3, 2-13, to include a Tier 1 background investigation.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450, Executive Branch Personnel Confidential Financial Disclosure Report upon entering the position and annually.

Managerial work experience and executive knowledge and ability of the caliber described above.

Best Qualified Criteria:
-Possess demonstrated ability to supervise personnel to include subordinate supervisors, and execute organization personnel management responsibilities.
-Possess experience with procurement, NAF and APF financial management, Capital Purchase and Minor/Major Construction Programs (CPMC) project management experience.
-Possess experience with development and execution of Long-term (5 year) Strategic Planning pertaining to the operation of FMWR programs and activities

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.

Pay-Band Allowances and Differentials
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Sunday premium may be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Night differential may be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Allowances, differentials, or incentives will be paid. These allowances may include Living Quarters Allowance (LQA), Temporary Quarters Subsistence Allowance (TQSA) and requires a Transportation Agreement in accordance (IAW) the provisions of the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR).
  • Post allowance may be paid in accordance with the Department of States Standardized Regulations (DSSR), contingent upon eligibility.
