  • You will conduct the collection, analysis, production, dissemination, and integration of cyber intelligence and cyber threat information to prevent and defend unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
  • You will plan, analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and enhance information systems security programs, policies, procedures, and tools to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of systems, network, and data.
  • You will fulfill and update the Commanding Officer’s (CO’s) Priority Intelligence Requirements (PIRs).
  • You will research and analyze the capabilities of nation states, non-state actors, criminal terrorist organizations, hackers, and other tenant actor operations
  • You will collect and analyze all-source intelligence on enemy capabilities, intentions, and actions reported by the intelligence community (IC), Law Enforcement, and Counterintelligence to correlate with MCCOG network data.
  • You will produce cyber focused, all-source products to include tippers, reports, briefs, estimates, assessments, and responses to requests for information.
  • You will disseminate reports, presentations, and briefings electronically and in-person to support decisions to defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data associated with the Marine Corps Cyberspace Environment (MCCE).
  • You will assist with the coordination of administration, training, planning, logistics, network/systems administration, security, intelligence oversight, project management, management, and technical duties within the S-2 Division.

Qualifications

Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled.
(1) Expert knowledge in cyber intelligence, defensive cyberspace operations, and all-source intelligence to conduct the collection, analysis, production, dissemination, and integration of cyber intelligence and cyber threat information to prevent and defend unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
(2) Knowledge of cyberspace (physical, logical, and persona), friendly defensive cyberspace capabilities, and adversaries' cyber capabilities, intentions, and actions to integrate analysis supporting decision makers and provide recommendations to support development of friendly courses of action.
(3) Skills to interpret, evaluate, and integrate all-sources of information (sensor data, intelligence data, and combat data) to drive enterprise-wide decisions.
(4) Skills in verbal and written communication techniques to produce products and present briefings to senior leaders.
(5) Ability to incorporate analysis of cyber environment and cyber adversaries into Intelligence Preparation of the Battlespace (IPB) and Joint Intelligence Preparation of the Environment (JIPOE) to support Operational Planning Teams.

This position is within the Work Category-PROFFESIONAL at Work Level- FULL PERFORMANCE, Series 2210 and Grade GG-13.

Education

Some groups in this category, however, may have a positive education requirement that cannot be replaced with experience, such as a requirement for a particular type or level of an academic degree.

JOB SUMMARY:
This position serves as an Information Technology (IT) Specialist in S-2 Division, MCCOG and is immediately responsible to a Supervisory IT Specialist (GG-2210-13 or above). Responsible for the collection, analysis, production, dissemination, and integration of cyber-focused, all source products to support the defense of the Marine Corps Cyberspace Environment (MCCE). Provides knowledge and expertise on adversaries to support the development of responsive courses of action to defend Marine Corps-related networks, systems, users, and information; the success or failure of these cyberspace operations directly impacts the readiness and mission
success of the Marine Corps.
