Duties

Help
  • The C5ISR Center is soliciting candidates to serve in ESI's Exploitation Analysis and Response Division, Global Operational Support and Threat Branch.
  • Executes policies, procedures, and processes associated with Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV) (air, land, and/or sea) operational technology tests; counter-RPV training; and knowledge of RPV and counter-RPV Tactics, Techniques and Procedures (TTPs).
  • Supports technical engineering and operational assessments of infrastructure and facilities and assesses limitations of engineering systems as they pertain to commercial threat devices and materials.
  • Develops technical engineering assessment briefings and applicable technical training materials and make presentations to high level officials, with emphasis on commercial threat technologies, to include RPV.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on commercial based technology capabilities and limitations associated with technical engineering assessments, vulnerability assessments, technical training, and technology analysis.
  • Provides subject matter expertise on testing associated with engineering systems as they pertain to commercial threat devices and materials; to include but not limited to RPVs.
  • Maintains technical accountability of all specialized engineering materials and equipment.

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) access.
  • This position is covered by the Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program. The incumbent is required to sign a DA Form 5019-R and must pass urinalysis testing, as required prior to appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • Three-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Temporary business travel is required away from the duty station up to 30% of the time.
  • This position is a TERM not-to-exceed six year’s position that may be extended, without limit, in up to six-year increments. Term appointment Statement of Understanding may be required.
  • Incumbent is required to submit a Financial Disclosure Statement, OGE-450 upon entering the position and annually, in accordance with DoD Directive 5500-7-R, Joint Ethics Regulation, dated 17-Nov-2011.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 pay band (or GS-11 level or higher equivalency) in the Federal Service which includes experience in one or more of the following areas:

1. Utilize knowledge of the processes associated with supporting training regarding counter-RPV TTPs and to assess limitations of engineering systems as they pertain to commercial-based threat devices and materials to include RPVs (air, land, and/or sea).
2. Support worldwide technical engineering assessments, vulnerability assessments, technical training, technology analysis, and / or technology testing of engineering systems as they pertain to commercial threat devices and materials; to include but not limited to RPVs.
3. Ability to conduct liaison with high- level officials and to develop and make presentations.
4. Operate and maintain commercial RPV technologies and / or supporting equipment.
5. Utilize knowledge of policies and regulations governing the usage of commercial-based technologies and RPVs for training, operational support, and advising.
