Duties

Help
  • Serves as the coordinator for the Performance Management and Incentive Award program.
  • Assists with preparing reports on appraisal statuses including contribution plans, mid-points, and annual assessments.
  • Advises on the development of internal administrative and personnel policies, and Standard Operating Procedures for the Director of Human Resources, while ensuring full compliance with DOD, Army and OPM processes, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Attends meetings with management, operating officials, and higher headquarters personnel to disseminate planning guidance, coordinate various administrative program activities, and discuss and advise on human resource issues.
  • Conducts training/presentations/briefing sessions for personnel on topics within the human resources arena to assure full understanding and uniform implementation and efficiency.

  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • A one-year probationary period may be required.
  • This position requires travel to other duty locations approximately 10 percent of the time.

In order to qualify, you must meet the education and experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. General Experience: Three years progressively responsible experience, 1 year of which was equivalent to at least the NH-01(GS-04) grade level, which includes: 1) Generating and organizing routine reports using a variety of Microsoft Office programs to include Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; 2) Utilizing office automated systems to enter, retrieve and manage data; 3) Tracking, coordinating, updating, and maintaining files and records; 4) Providing administrative support to include assisting with award review and correction, development of memorandums, and reports; 5) Creating and maintaining personnel and/or administrative office files; and responding to customer inquiries (emails or telephonically).


This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service NH-1 (GS-04).

Education: Four-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree.

OR

Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages.

  • This is a pay banded position. The NH-02 encompasses grades 5 through 11 on the General Schedule.
  • Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

  • One year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • Direct Deposit of Pay is required.
