Duties

Help

  • Maintains accounting, reporting and records system for nonexpendable property and preforms routine phases of property management.
  • Conducts the annual physical inventory of all assets for an assigned office.
  • Maintains motor vehicle cost and utilization records.
  • Regularly reviews vehicle and equipment records to assure that vehicles and equipment receive scheduled service and maintenance.
  • Purchases routine and specialized supplies, materials, equipment, and services through use of credit cards and requisitions.
  • Operates light trucks and forklifts up to 12,000 pounds; motor vehicle to transport items and passengers.
  • Assists staff with travel arrangements, document processing, and records management.

  • You must possess and maintain, either upon or within 60 days of appointment, a Federal Acquisition Certification for Contracting Officer's Representative (FAC-COR) Level I Certificate.
  • If you are a male born after December 31, 1959, you must provide proof of registration or exemption from the Selective Service Registration (see www.sss.gov).
  • You must be able to lift and carry up to 44 pounds unassisted, and over 44 pounds with assistance.
  • You must be able to sustain periods of substantial walking, bending, stooping, standing, crouching, stretching, and reaching which will be evaluated during the pre-employment medical examination.
  • You may be required to work overtime.

Minimum Qualification Requirement - In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional, philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.

GG-07: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GG/GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in other government service, or the private or public sector.

Examples of Specialized Experience is defined as: requesting, processing and distributing equipment and property; knowledge of the areas of supply management (i.e. cataloging, inventory management and storage management); maintaining accounting and reporting systems; maintaining inventory for critical or shortage items that require special handling; maintaining inventory records and conducting reviews of purchases; initiating, preparing, and processing requisitions; investigating and reconciling discrepancies; operating a motor vehicle; reviewing vehicle and equipment records to ensure scheduled service and maintenance; performing Contracting Officer's Representative duties to ensure work is in accordance with the contract requirements; performing administrative support duties such as assisting with travel arrangements, time and attendance reports and training requests; and using computerized software to complete document processing, report generation, electronic mail, filing and records management.

Time in Grade (TIG): Current and former Federal employees must have a minimum of 52 weeks at the next lower grade level to be eligible under Merit Promotion procedures. An SF-50 must be submitted as verification.
