Duties

Help
  • Enter information into automated Software's such as General Fund Enterprise Business Solution (GFEBS) and the Automated Disbursing System (ADS) for reconciliation and distribution of all funds received.
  • Analyze information against the explanation of benefits received from the insurance companies.
  • Verify reconciliation documentation and check register to ascertain accuracy of statements of accountability.
  • Post payments from insurance companies, individuals, Tricare, other Federal Agencies, and other entities in the Armed Forces Billing and Collection Utilization Solution (ABACUS).
  • Develop worksheets to identify source of transactions and processing cycles utilizing computer software and manual records.
  • Prepare Cash Collection Voucher (CCV) in ABACUS and reconciles with accounts to be posted.

Qualifications

In order to qualify, you must meet the Education and/or Experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes providing administrative and clerical support including reviewing documents to verify accuracy and completeness of the accounting data; researching discrepancies and adjusting; preparing worksheets or reports using automated systems and/or software post, access, retrieve, update, reconcile accounting data and provide reports.
OR
Education: A half year (i.e., 9 semester hours) of graduate level education in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as such as Billings, Accounting, Finance, etc. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.).
OR
Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 9. Add the two percentages.
