Provide engineering services that develop, support, and facilitate the research, development, and integration and production process.
Utilize advanced technologies in specialty functions such as: computer-aided design (CAD), additive manufacturing, and finite element analysis.
Utilize advanced technologies in specialty functions such as test design, sensors, data acquisition and analysis strategies.
Utilize advanced technologies in specialty functions such as: electronic troubleshooting and circuit design, strength testing, and rapid prototyping.
Perform work at the journey level performing functions in the business or administrative fields (e.g., finance, resource management, logistics, or planning)
Apply knowledge of the laws, principles, standards, techniques, policies, and concepts of a program, project, technical or technology field.
Perform work in technical support fields (e.g., engineering technician, equipment specialists, and information technology).

To qualify at the DE-02/GS-9 equivalent grade level - Your resume must reflect one year of specialized experience at the GS-07/DB-01 grade level which includes:1) Demonstrating analytical abilities and skills in executing methods, practices, approaches, and design principles to accomplish objectives. 2) Performing engineering services that develop, support, and facilitate the research, development, and integration and production process. And 3) Presenting findings and results, in writing or orally, for higher-level review or publication.

To Qualify with education: You must have successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in related fields (eg; engineering, engineering technician). A combination of education and experience as reflected above.
Additional Specialized experience to be considered:
Working as a skilled mechanic or maintenance worker, sales or service engineer, or planner or estimator in a technical group dealing with manufacture, utilization, repair, or operation of equipment.
Reviewing and applying technical specifications and requirements.
Analyzing equipment and forecasting spare parts requirements.
Reading and interpreting engineering change orders, equipment requisitions, shop orders, and work orders.
Analyzing contract specifications and examining pertinent equipment to determine if specifications are met.
Analyzing or supervising maintenance, repair, or production operations to determine methods of improvement.
Education
