Help

  • Incumbent will serve as an Inventory Management Specialist with responsibility for planning, directing, coordinating, managing and reviewing actions concerned with life-cycle materiel and maintenance requirements, operations, and systems essential to the mission of multiple activities at the Command, Control, Computers, Communications, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C5ISR) Center.
  • Oversees the Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP), the Master Driver Program, Equipment Utilization and Maintenance as well as routine maintenance and calibration of Army equipment; Oversight of Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) calibration and equipment repair support for the entire C5ISR Center organization; Oversite of vehicle, mechanical and Ground Equipment (GE) operators' training and licensing; Oversight of load testing and certification for heavy equipment, including forklifts, hand forks, cranes.
  • Monitors and oversees accountability, maintenance and utilization tracking for General Services Administration (GSA) assigned and Army-owned non-tactical vehicles (NTV).
  • Ability to manage, maintain, and train databases such as General Services Administration (GSA) Fleet, Federal Acquisition Statistical Tool (FAST), and Global Combat Supply System-Army (GCSS-A).
  • Establishes and assesses material maintenance performance to ensure that objectives are in place to support mission acquisition and life cycle sustainment goals.
  • Utilizes maintenance management automated logistical systems to ensure that timely and accurate maintenance management forecasting, resources, distribution, turn in, transfer, scheduling, production control, maintenance, control use, and report warranty actions and fault is performed for Army equipment/materiel per TM, associated manuals, or directed updates.
  • Maintains practical knowledge of computerized systems applications and of equipment techniques, capabilities, and limitations sufficient to assure the proper relationship between functional users and automated data processing systems (i.e., GCSS-Army, Microsoft Office Suite, etc.).

  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance with for the duration of employment.
  • Position may require travel away from the duty station (TDY) up to 20% of the time.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a Three-year probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315.

In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade or band is required. It is defined as one year of specialized experience equivalent to the DE-02 (GS-11 equivalent grade level or higher) in the Federal Service which includes: 1) Supporting logistics equipment and maintenance programs, such as the Command Maintenance Discipline Program (CMDP), the Master Driver Program, General Services Administration (GSA)-assigned and non-tactical vehicles (NTV) management, and expertise in life-cycle materiel and maintenance requirements, operations, and systems; 2) Assessing the effectiveness of logistics maintenance programs by analyzing feedback from customers and senior leaders to interpret relevant regulations, policies, and laws, and formulate recommendations to enhance overall program operations; and, 3) Delivering service and support to both internal and external customers, leadership, and partners by formulating and effectively communicating goals, tasks, policies, and procedures through both verbal and written channels.
