Duties

Help

As IT Project Manager, you will:

  • Provide Office of Safety, Security, and Assest Management project management and critical problem resolution relating to critical system.
  • Process database analysis, application development and support, and information resources management by OSSAM.
  • Develop goal for the program and also coordinate maintenance and support activity by working OSSAM with contact.
  • Assist organizational units in preparing budget and acquisition initiatives that are consistent with organizational priorities for overall direction and coordination of advanced hardware and software maintenance used for critical systems and critical systems infrastructure.
  • Serve as key advisor in developing policy that are consistent with support and deployment of Infrastructure by OSSAM.

This position may require a Drug Test and be subject to Random Drug Testing. The position may require the submission of a urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and be subject to reasonable suspicion and post-accident drug testing upon hiring. If required to submit to urinalysis, the appointment to the position will be contingent upon a negative test result.

Qualifications

Desired Qualification Requirements/Experience:

  • Expert knowledge of critical systems such as Physical Access and Protection Systems, Intrusion Detection and Assessment Systems, Video Surveillance system.
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills, including the ability to effectively work on a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated skill in leading, organizing, and prioritizing policy issues.
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills. - Excellent customer services skills.

  4. Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

Applicants must currently occupy a full-time Career or Career Conditional competitive service position within CDC/ATSDR or an Excepted Service position under the Schedule A, Schedule B, or Veterans Recruitment Appointment Authority within the CDC/ATSDR or Commissioned Corps equivalent, unless otherwise specified in the Announcement.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. This announcement is intended for applicants in the 2210 and 0856 series at the GS-13 and GS-14 grade level and Commissioned Corps equivalent.
