This position is open to the public. This position allows for situational and recurring telework but does not qualify for full-time or remote telework.
The purpose of this position is to serve as a subject matter expert in library and legal research programs and is responsible for acquisitions, budget and policy review and development, and acting as a facilitator and liaison between the program office, various librarian working groups, and other entities in and outside the AO. There is an ongoing need to identify, address and coordinate technical issues relating to library technology and software applications in the Judiciary. The incumbent ensures that issues are raised, researched, and vetted to help inform judiciary policy making, technical decisions, and procurement decisions for the library program. The incumbent facilitates the development of policies and practices that improve and support the federal judiciary's National Library Program.
