Duties

Help
  • Under general supervision, performs routine and recurring assignments in the delivery of Information Technology (IT) customer support services. Participates in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services.
  • Identifies and resolves issues and problems. Prepares and updates manuals, instructions, operating procedures. Provides information and assistance to customers including hardware/software installations, configuration, upgrades, troubleshooting.
  • Evaluates established methods and procedures and prepares recommendations for changes in methods and practices where appropriate. Presents formal and informal training to customers.
  • Reports, responds to and resolves customer requests. Applies information security and information assurance policy, principles and practices.

  • A one year probationary period may be required.
  • Subject to satisfactory completion of all pre-employment checks in accordance with AR 215-3, para.2 to include a Tier III (SECRET) background investigation.
  • Must possess or be able to obtain and maintain a USAREUR driver's license.
  • Must be able to work on weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to travel frequently to other locations within the garrison.

Qualifications

Work experience, education, and/or specialized intensive training sufficient to demonstrate IT knowledge and skill in:
- Participating in the planning and delivery of a full range of IT customer support services;
- Installing, configuring, upgrading and trouble shooting hardware and software components;
- Presenting formal and informal training and assistance to customers;
- Reporting, responding to, and resolving customer requests.

Qualifying education is graduate education in one of the following fields of study: computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, or technology management, or has provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.

Candidates meeting the below highly qualifying criteria will be referred to management first:

One-year experience working for Family and MWR programs and RecTrac, CYMS, or similar system experience.
