Duties

Help

Direct and oversee the programmatic and day-to-day operations of the STAC and liaise with senior officials to ensure strategic alignment and direction with the ODNI, IC Space Executive and NIM for Space staffs, the DOD, and IC mission partners.

Direct the development and implementation of controls and policies to provide guidance to management officials, and coordinate internal and external initiatives to ensure alignment with key intelligence priorities.

Develop, evaluate, and analyze project proposals and action plans; determining impact on current resources, and forecasting resource needs.

Lead a professional staff, assess performance, oversee goal setting, and provide feedback on personal and professional development. Interact with managers to ensure compliance and collaboration with policies which aides in developing the organizational culture.

Maintain effective working relationships with other ODNI and IC components and other government agencies to address space-related issues that span multiple mission or program areas.

Lead the IC to remain current with major space-related technical developments and with other IC programs in areas of interest. Create and sustain partnerships with other IC elements

Qualifications

Superior knowledge of IC space acquisition requirements, development and decision processes and a thorough understanding of the role of counterspace threat analysis in informing space acquisitions.

Expert knowledge of IC and DoD space community members, stakeholders and their missions, structures, capabilities, processes, policy development, and tradecraft programs.

Expert interpersonal and negotiation skills, and the ability to build consensus, work effectively, and independently exert influence to major stakeholders.

Superior critical thinking skills, including the ability to think strategically, identify needs and requirements, develop recommendations, and evaluate outcomes against goals and objectives.

Superior oral and written communication skills with superior ability to view substantive and administrative issues, exert influence to senior leadership, communicate effectively with people at all levels (both internal and external), brief management on reviews and findings, and organize and edit written reports of varying length and complexity.

Expert experience and knowledge of inter-agency coordination and operations to sustain effective working relationships with other U.S. Government departments, agencies, and centers.

Superior ability to manage sensitive matters and/or complex problems, make key contributions to group efforts, and exercise appropriate leadership and initiative. Superior interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills, including demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team or collaborative environment.

Superior ability to communicate complex information clearly, concisely, and in a manner that is targeted to and meets the needs of diverse audiences with different perspectives and objectives.

Education

Bachelor's degree in related field.

Job Interview Travel: Candidates from outside the Washington, D.C. area may be selected for a telephone, teleconference, or in-person interview.

Salary Determination: A current Federal Government employee, selected for a detail, will be assigned to the position at their current grade and salary.
