You will serve as an IT Specialist (INFOSEC) in the Cyber Security Branch (N00SM31), Information Assurance Division (N00SM3), Security Manager (N00SM) at Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station, Pacific (NCTAMS PAC).
You will execute all aspects of NCTAMS PAC Cybersecurity program to include architecture, security requirements, objectives, security policies, and security practices.
You will provide development, implementation, interpretations, accreditation, risk management, and maintenance of detailed cybersecurity policies, plans, programs, standards and criteria ensuring a successful Information Assurance (IA) program.
You will plan, develop, implement and manage NCTAMS PAC Cybersecurity program, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of IS automated systems, networks and data.
You will exercise overall responsibility and staff direction, operational coordination and review over the development, modification, and application of IS system issues throughout the Area of Responsibility (AOR).

Qualifications
Applicants must have directly applicable experience that demonstrates the possession of knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Qualifying experience may have been acquired in any public or private sector job, but will clearly demonstrate past experience in the application of the particular competencies or knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically in or directly relates to the work of the position to be filled. You must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below:

Experience demonstrating this competency include: Ensuring information provided to outside departments are accurate and consistent.
3. In addition to my experience demonstrating the four competencies above, I have qualifying experience such as:
-Experience mitigating risks by installing security patches, running anti-virus or other utilities. -Experience evaluating risks, threats and vulnerabilities to determine if additional safeguards are needed. -Experience validating and verifying system security requirements and reporting instances of security violations and problems. -Experience developing and maintaining cybersecurity audit reports including data collection, database administration and interpretation.

Completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; OR
Completed 3 full years of progressively higher graduate level education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree from an accredited or pre-accredited institution in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management; OR
Graduate education that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
