Duties

Help

Overall responsibility for the day-to-day operation of the bike, ski and snowboard, and equipment rentals. Assists customers with the proper usage of the equipment, answering questions on the locations and regulations of the areas which equipment is to be used and monitoring proper safety practices.

Provides routine maintenance on rental equipment, i.e. simple bike repair, ski tuning, winter equipment cleaning and minor repairs

Assists in the operation and maintenance of indoor and/or outdoor recreational activities at Outdoor Rec.

Tests water-skiing and boating equipment.

Demonstrates safety and conservation techniques for campsites, water sports area, firing ranges and hunting areas.

Demonstrates equipment and techniques of various outdoor activities: camping, swimming, boating,

Schedules campsites, cabins, boats and other outdoor recreation equipment for use.

Operate a motor vehicle to pick up inventory, supplies and/or transport guests to/from activities.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

This is a developmental position. Upon successful completion of training, incumbent will be non-competitively promoted to NF-02.

Qualifying Experience:
Experience demonstrating a working familiarity with the routines and procedures followed in group activities or programs; and practical knowledge and/or experience of recreational activities and equipment, rules and procedures in a recreation program activity which has involved recreation work in the area of specialty in which the position is assigned; ability and skill in dealing with the public.
