Summary

The primary purpose of this position is to integrate the logistics functions of supply, equipment maintenance, tool control, procurement, and quality assurance (QA) into a total logistics management program.

This position is temporary and has a Not-to-Exceed date. However, this position may be extended to the fullest legally allowable period without further competition. The appointment may also end early due to lack of work or funds.

Duties

Help

  • Research, evaluate, and advise any Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE) functions that are performed as mandated by organization.
  • Leads development and maintenance of the Directorate's Continuity of Operations (COOP)/Emergency Management (EM) plans.
  • Plans, organizes, and coordinates activities of senior leaders, technical personnel, and functional specialists concerning process improvements and corrective actions to inspection/audit.
  • Develops approaches for process change to enhance productivity, program progress, cost reduction, adherence to schedules, etc.
  • Represents organization at process improvement events directed at any aspect of logistics/emergency preparedness.

Qualifications

Experience requirements are described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions. Due to the use of 120-day rosters, this period of experience may be completed within 120 days of the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-11/DO-01, or equivalent in other pay systems. Examples of specialized experience consist of experience performing Logistics program functions AND/OR tool control and equipment custodian responsibilities, AND/OR precision measurement equipment laboratory functions, AND/OR work with contract officer representatives (COR), AND/OR program execution in support of research and development programs and must have experience with and be able to successfully utilize database systems for asset accountability, equipment purchases and tracking.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
