Help

  • Manages and facilitates action to establish PM Professional Excellence program tools to measure success and to identify areas for improvement. Develops and delivers contract services and/or in-house training or content supporting PM and FAI training requirements and continuous learning objectives for the FAC-P/PM certification program and other training and development courses. Develops and delivers in-house training supporting FAI training requirements and continuous learning objectives.
  • Identifies and develops consultative relationships with professional counterparts in comparable or allied disciplines in GSA, other government agencies, professional societies, universities, research associations, and public interest groups. In addition, proposes joint projects and programs with those groups to ensure maximum organization effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Works with contractors or GSA SMEs to help develop training through online modules and serves as the COR for contracts or advises the COR as a subject matter expert as needed.
  • Works across business lines and with cross regional teams to ensure stakeholder engagement and support. Manages feedback and contributions and resolves conflicting recommendations to ensure the resulting project and programs are balanced and meeting agency needs.

The GS-13 salary range starts at $103,409 per year.

To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level or higher in the Federal service.


SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: 

Specialized experience is experience analyzing and evaluating the effectiveness and efficiency of assigned programs, including management objectives, new project management initiatives, and technologies. This experience must include:

  • utilizing global project management tools, techniques, methodologies, and technologies to evaluate program success to include qualitative and quantitative principles, concepts, theories, and techniques; and
  • developing and preparing a wide range of instructional, project management, professional development, and/or similar program materials (e.g., new initiatives, executive presentations, talking points, briefing books, fact sheets, frequently asked questions and answers, content for websites and related technology platforms).

How you will be evaluated

You will be evaluated for this job based on how well you meet the qualifications above.

  • Knowledge of business management theories and practices sufficient to lead and direct initiatives for major projects from the preliminary planning phase throughout the entire project life cycle.
  • Skill in leading teams of technical and professional staff in developing, coordinating, and implementing operations and technical activities and requirements.
  • Ability to anticipate and meet the needs of internal and external stakeholders; achieves quality end products; is committed to improving services. Creates and sustains an organizational culture which permits others to provide the quality of service essential to high performance; enables others to acquire the tools and support they need to perform well.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques in order to determine objectives and strategies; coordinate with other parts of the organization to accomplish goals; monitor and evaluate the progress and outcomes of operational plans; and, anticipate potential threats or opportunities.
