Summary

Primary purpose position: To serve as an Acquisition Program Manager for the Department of the Air Force Command, Control, Communications, and Battle Management Program Executive Officer. Provides oversight and management of the PEO's acquisition efforts. Additionally, serves as the organization's Director, responsible to the PEO for the entire organization's Organize, Train, and Equip functions to support the DAF's contribution to the Combined Joint All-Domain Command and Control concept.

Duties

Help

DUTY 1: Leads, manages, directs or is responsible for activities in support of DAF PEO C3BM funded acquisition efforts.

DUTY 2: Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.

DUTY 3: Delivers presentations on program status, accomplishments, problems/analysis/solutions, requirements for support and promotion of program objectives to the PEO.

DUTY 4: At the direction of the PEO, represents the program office at higher levels within the organization and contractor organizations.

DUTY 5: At the direction of the PEO, works in conjunction with the contracting office to review and/or approve terms and conditions set forth in contract negotiations, contracting plans, budgets, and changes to the scope of work to be done by the contractor.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of the policies, practices, regulations, and laws concerning the acquisition management process and initiatives.
2. Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures.
3. Knowledge of the mission, roles, functions, organizational structure, and operation of the DoD, Air Force, and organizations that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition process.
4. Skill to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff in critical aspects of development and production, support of systems, subsystems, or equipment and to coordinate various aspects of systems acquisition such as engineering, contracting, financial management, configuration, and manufacturing.
5. Ability to supervise, mentor, motivate, appraise, and work with subordinate supervisors and non-supervisory employees.
6. Ability to communicate both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy.
7. In-depth knowledge of program planning, budget and financial management cycles and policies.
