You will develop and apply specific technical expertise in the field of construction obtained through education, experience, and/or professional certifications in one or more areas.
You will serve as a civil construction Engineering Technician and provide engineering support services in the field of construction contracts primarily between the Navy/Marine Corps/Air Force and private contractors.
You provide overall coordination of the construction quality management program for assigned projects.
You will attend selective quality control, preparatory, and initial meetings while monitoring three-phase checklists for accuracy and thoroughness.
You will perform cursory safety reviews and provide recommendations towards acceptance of the Accident Prevention Plan and actively enforce compliance by contractors.
You will apply technical knowledge of engineering practices and construction methods in conjunction with sound judgment in all duties performed.
Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category time-frames.
