As a/an Information Technology Specialist (APPSW), you will:

  • Planning, designing, developing, and implementing secure, cost-effective IT solutions that best satisfy user needs and that are consistent with Federal and Department of Treasury guidelines and standards.
  • Supports the full range of IT functions to include: analyzing the IT requirements necessary to meet user needs within the assigned area of responsibility.
  • Develops procedures and strategies that ensure optimization and integration in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the operating environment.
  • Evaluates the impact of new and proposed applications on the operating environment and recommends changes to ensure the functionality and stability of the operating environment.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience for the OR-53 (GS-13 equivalent): An applicant must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the OR-52 (GS-12 equivalent) in the Federal service. Specialized experience is experience directly related to the position to be filled which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Successful experience can be gained in the Federal service or its equivalent in state or local government or private sector organizations.

Specialized Experience for this position includes ALL of the following:
- Hands-on developer experience with SharePoint Online and developing Intranet portal collaboration sites; AND
- Experience with SharePoint Framework for developing custom web parts and extensions in a modern SharePoint Online environment; AND
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps and Power Automate, for building low-code/no-code solutions and automating business processes.; AND
- Experience creating web parts, lists/library, content types, site columns, master pages, search navigation, permissions, and data management in SharePoint Online.


In addition to specialized experience, individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed
below.

  4. Problem Solving: Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

THIS IS A TWO-PHASED PROCESS.
