Dispute resolution practitioner to provide confidential and impartial assistance to facilitate achieving sustainable resolution early, efficiently and effectively.
Conduct assessments and utilizes assessments to assist in creating and conducting training for VA employees at all levels.
Analyze conflict situations, describes conflict resolution options, consults with all parties, and utilizes the technique that the parties choose to assist them in resolving their dispute.
Serve as a trainer for a variety of courses offered by the ADR program throughout the agency.

Qualifications
Specialized Experience:
To qualify for this position, applicants must meet all requirements by the closing date of this announcement.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

To qualify, applicants must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade (GS-11) in the normal line of progression for the occupation in the organization. Specialized experience is defined as work that involves: (1) Serve as a third party neutral to workplace complaints which utilize ADR to process mediation, group facilitation, training, and/or coaching. (2) Provide guidance and support to ADR programs out in the field to ensure customers and stakeholders have a good understanding of ADR processes through training and marketing. (3) Provide training on a variety of topics related to conflict resolution; and (4) Create documents that describe ADR processes and assists parties.
Education
There is no educational substitution for the GS-12 level.
