Duties

Help
  • Provide technical and administrative support to managers of the assigned Census Office to assure timely, orderly, and efficient conduct of data collection operations.
  • Monitors the assigned Census office recruiting operations by working closely with Government Partnership Specialists, Community Outreach and Media Partnership Specialists.
  • Leading through direct and indirect supervision of office and field staff to research, resolve issues, communicate technical data collection activities, and review and recommend the appropriate administrative guidance.
  • Maintaining contact with appropriate referral services to identify recruitment efforts and resolve recruitment and publicity problems.

Specialized Experience:

For the GS-07 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal services. Experience with leading, directing, coordinating, developing, and improving, the data collection for surveys or censuses within an assigned geographical area.

OR

Education: 1 full year of graduate level education


For the GS-09 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal services. Experience with leading, directing, coordinating, developing, and improving, the data collection for surveys or censuses within an assigned geographical area. Ability to identify problems and make recommendation to senior staff; communicating with a variety of personnel within the office.

OR

Education: master's or equivalent graduate degree, or 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.B. or J.D., if related.


For the GS-11 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-09 grade level in the Federal services. Experience with leading, directing, coordinating, developing, and improving, the data collection for surveys or censuses within an assigned geographical area. Experienced in identifying problems and recommending solutions; communicating with a variety of personnel within the office.

OR

Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or LL.M., if related


For the GS-12 you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal services. Experience with leading, directing, coordinating, developing, and improving, the data collection for surveys or censuses within an assigned geographical area. Skilled in planning and performing assignments, resolving most conflicts that may arise.

Education:
Educaton cannot be substituted for experience at this grade level
