The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a 526th Intelligence Squadron course developer and instructor for Initial Qualification Training (IOT), Continuation Training (CT), and serve as the squadron's point of contact for Specialized Training (ST) offered across the Intelligence Community (IC), Air Education and Training Center (AETC).

Duties

Help

DUTY 1:
Conducts analysis and production of multi-source intelligence information (GEOINT, IMINT, SIGINT, MASINT, HUMINT, OSINT) to exploit adversary weaknesses and counter adversary strengths.

DUTY 2:
Manages the Intelligence Training Program to include but not limited to; Initial Orientation Training (IOT), Initial Qualification Training (IQT), Mission Qualification Training (MQT), Continuation Training (CT), and Specialized Training (ST).

DUTY 3:
Performs Instruction for Intelligence Training Program to include but not limited to; initial orientation training (IOT), initial qualification training (IQT), and continuation training (CT).

DUTY 4:
Represents 526 IS/CC with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.

  • Over ten years' experience using a wide range of imagery, geospatial, or signals intelligence concepts, principles and practices is highly desirable.
  • An advanced intelligence-related or professional/scientific degree is highly desirable.

Qualifications

This is a GG-12 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-12 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Full Performance" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-12 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.

To qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements describes in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position. Examples of creditable experience include: thorough knowledge of concepts governing the DoD and national Intelligence Community (IC) missions; knowledge of Combat Air Forces (CAF) Intelligence testing, training, exercising, and experimentation from the operational to the tactical level; knowledgeable of the terminologies, methodologies, and research and analytical techniques as applies to highly complex assignments in collection and analysis; knowledge of academic processes and procedures used to develop, assess, execute, evaluate and exercise/test/event curricula and exercise design. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

AND

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of academic processes and procedures used to develop, assess, execute, evaluate and exercise/test/event curricula and exercise design to maintain the highest standards consistent Air Force instructional methods/standards. Clear understanding of the application of recognized Instructional Systems Development (ISD) models for instructional development and evaluation purposes.
2. Knowledge of a wide range of one or more intelligence disciplines (SIGINT, IMINT, MASINT, and/or GEOINT) concepts, principles, and practices to apply to new developments, modify existing tactics, techniques, and procedures. Experience with one or more intelligence operations, such as Distributed Common Ground System (DCGS), Agile Combat Employment (ACE), Targeting, Air Operations Center (AOC), and Unit Level Intelligence (ULI) related mission crew positions and responsibilities, intelligence processing, exploitation, and reporting as well as Intelligence Community (IC) collection/dissemination architecture.
3. Knowledge of Combat Air Forces (CAF) Intelligence testing, training, exercising, and experimentation from the operational to the tactical level. Knowledge of the applications of military aviation operations as it applies to programs, operations, weapon systems, logistics support and personnel readiness in support of major military operations such as war, mobilization, deployment, exercise, Special Operations, command and control, or similar Operations.
4. Skill in applying analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution issues or problems concerning efficiency and effectiveness of program operations to devise or recommend the most effective employment tactics, techniques, and operational employment procedures for the targeted training audience. Skill in developing course materials and instructional methods, principles, and techniques to develop all intelligence disciplines training courses, obtain training resources and assess overall effectiveness to meet identified training requirements.
5. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work to meet changing deadlines, to gather, assemble, and analyze facts, draw conclusions, conduct analysis, devise recommended solutions, and package the entire process in briefings, papers, or reports suitable for top management use and decision-making. Ability to negotiate complex issues and maintain good working relationships.
6. Ability to interpret squadron operations, instructions, and guidance to provide recommendations to execute local training mission decisions. Ability to communicate effectively with others, both orally and in writing, as an instructor with the ability to instruct training courses in a classroom seminar setting.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
1. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.

2. This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.

PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.

VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
