Duties

Help
  • Serves as Chief Business and Recreation Division. Plans, directs, and coordinates the functions, programs, and activities of the division to include but not limited to Sports and Fitness, Arts and Crafts, Recreation, Non Facility Based Planning.
  • Plans, directs, coordinates, and evaluates community wide revenue generating programs. Determines overall local policies for providing business and recreation services.
  • Manages the formulation and execution of annual budget. Reviews budget estimates submitted by program activities. Ensures fiscal responsibility and monitors expenditures to ensure efficient use of funds and proper accounting procedures.
  • Determines program strengths and weaknesses and devises ways to improve services, reduce operational costs, and increase efficiency. Implements changes in organizational structures, positions, internal policies, to improve operations.
  • Performs the full range of delegated supervisory personnel management tasks. Assigns, directs, and oversees the work of employees.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualification Requirements:

  • Progressively responsible experience performing related duties described above.
  • Work experience serving in a supervisory capacity
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the goals, concepts, and techniques of a community activities program (including recreation, sports, entertainment and art, general management and business operations of various facilities)
Highly Desirable:
  • Five years' experience in formulating and executing APF and NAF budget

PCS Costs
  • Payment Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs are authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is in the Government's interest.
Pay-Band (NF or CY) Allowances and Differentials
  • This is a pay-banded position.
  • Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday).
  • Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. When authorized, night differential will be paid at the rate of 10% basic rate for hours of non-overtime work performed between 1800-0600.
Incentives and Bonuses
  • Incentives may be paid.
  • Recruitment or Relocation incentive of up to 25% of the annual salary may be approved with a signed two year service commitment.
Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances
  • Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
